Florian Miksch (dwh) participated the the Hackathon in the context of the 2016 International Meeting on Emerging Diseases and Surveillance in Vienna. He participated in a working group together with public health experts from Australia, Netherlands, Albania, Spain, and the USA. The group received the "Sektor5 Award" for their proposed project #MeaslesSucks to tackle the anti vaccine movement which caused several measles outbreaks in the US in the past years.
